CA TF4 Blog Post 2 – Rescue Operations

Blog Post 2 CATF4:  Due to the rabid nature of the media and it’s ability, no, absolute inclination to sensationalize minute amounts of information, the team has been briefed regarding our position as federal employees, and the policies regarding personal disclosure of information.  Specifically, as we enter the theater of operations, although we may take pictures, they are not to be broadcast onto the Internet via social media or any other mechanism unless passed through FEMA’s public relations office.  Nor may we describe our activities in any detail or express any opinions regarding the decisions being made by the officials in charge (i.e. FEMA).  This policy extends to our immediate friends and families.  As such, although I will be keeping a personal log, I may not publish it until the incident is over.

So, although inquiring minds want to know, I am afraid the blog posting will be limited not only by absence of cell connection, but also by essential gag order.

That said, we are driving to an area that has been identified to have several hundred stranded residents and we will be searching the neighborhood home by home and rescuing those we find.

That’s it for now.
